Recommendation for use

When disinfecting a drinking water tank with Dalco 100, the ratio and approach depend on whether you are doing routine drinking water maintenance or shock disinfection of an empty or contaminated tank.
To achieve a safe concentration of 0.2 to 0.5 ppm (mg/L) according to the World Health Organization:

1. Routine water treatment (for drinking)

If the water in the tank is clean and you just want to keep it safe to drink and prevent bacteria from growing: 

• Ratio: 2 ml to 5 ml Dalco 100 for every 100 liters of water (or 20–50 ml per 1 cubic meter / 1000 liters).
• Action time: Wait a minimum of 30 to 45 minutes before use. 

       2. Shock disinfection of the tank (flushing)

If the tank has not been used for a long time, has deposits, algae or is being cleaned for the first time: 

• Ratio: 50 ml to 100 ml Dalco 100 for every 100 liters of water (or 500–1000 ml per 1000 liters).
• Action time: Let the solution sit in the tank for between 6 and 12 hours.
• Important: This water is NOT drinkable! After treatment, drain the tank completely, rinse it once with clean water and only then fill it for regular operation.
